The Dr. Phil fundraiser check will be distributed to all commissioned and civilian members of the NOPD on Monday & Tuesday, October 16-17, 2006, at 9:00am. The pickup locatoin is the Traffic Division roll call Trailer behind the Municipal Auditorium. No mention of the amount. I'm sure we'll find out soon eneough.

Is $134.00, and the arithmetic used to arrive at that figure is written on the paperwork.

Any officer who has not yet picked up their Dr. Phill check can obtain it from the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation at 400 Poydras Street, Room #2105, on Friday between 9 am and 3 pm, and Monday through Thursday, 9 pm through 4 pm.

The money offered by the Dr. Phil foundation, is that ear marked for officers currently on the job or can those who have left the NOPD, in good standing, since Katrina recieve money.

If those officers who have resigned from the department are eligible, how can they go about collecting the money and/or donate it to a fund, i.e., PANO, FOP, or some other charitable organization.

Two additional questions... ...is the distribution of the funds based on pre or post Katrina employment figures? And what happens to the funds left over (not collected by officers)?
