While I am not a Police Officer I am very much 26 material if you get my drift.
My Brother Manuel "Mannie" Nunez is retired from the NOPD.
I have been by every sense of the word a hard core crime fighter for over 25 years myself and would like to share something with all of you.
Close to 2 years ago I came up with a plan that would beyond question result in a reduction in crime across the board by no less than 85% and would do so by completely eliminating the illegal drug trade.
I personally attempted to share my plan with Eddie Jordan and it became very clear to me that Mr. Jordan was and is not interested in the reduction of crime and the restoration of normalcy within our community.
My greatest hope however came as I received a phone call from Sgt Paul Accardo who was extremely excited about my crime reduction plan and how it would work. Then came Katrina days later and then I received the news that Paul had ended his life.
My cell phone records will show that me and Paul had a long talk.
Up to this point I have put my plan on the back burner so to speak but im sure that if anyone within the upper rank were to sit down and hear my plan and then realize that Eddie Jordan basically attempted to discourage me
from going forward with my plan they would realize just how far out in left field this joker really is.
While my prayers are with the family of those lost on the Danzinger I honestly view the Danzinger 7 as being the heroes that they are for staying in such horrible conditions as first responders were fired upon by the very element that they were trying to help.
The smell of death was everywhere and I can only imagine how even a seasoned officer must have felt.
Almost like a walking bulls eye.
I May not agree with a lot of NOPD issues such as Homeless french quarter roundups but I support The danzinger 7 and I applaud them for their courage and for staying behind unlike a lot of cowards.
The community needs to support these fine officers and demand justice for each and every single one of them (FULL AQUITTAL) WITH BACK PAY!!!!
I shot the following video as my own personal way of saying thank you to each and every one of you who proudly serve within the NOPD and for your 7 Brothers.
