Since Captain Mendoza is represented by private counsel, I will not comment on the merits of case. However, as a PANO member, Captain Mendoza has the full support of the Police Association of New Orleans. Further, on a personal note, and being familiar with his character, I have every confidence that he will ultimately prevail. I should also point out, however, that experience dictates that it will likely take a considerable amount of time for that to happen.
