General Membership Meeting

Meeting Called to order by Sergeant of Arms Paul Noel at approximately 7:06pm.
Board Members present: Jean Beckemeyer, Anthony Caprera, Michael Glasser, Paul Noel, Mark Mornay, Dwayne Scheuermann,
Board Members Absent: Bryant Wininger
Opening remarks by President Michael Glasser on:
PIB Investigation concerning alleged departmental violations by officers who worked a paid detail on movie set. Investigation appears to be only administrative
Pay Raise for Police Officer being considered by the City Counsel,
may include cost of living, hazard pay for certain units and education incentives.
P/O II, III & IV classes are currently given by academy, promotion should follow within 90 days of completion of course.

Sergeant Test Seminar set for Thursday, June 14.2007 at 6:00pm – Hampton Inn on Convention Center.
* free for PANO Memnbers - $25.00 for Non- Members.
PIB Stings currently being conducted through out the department.
“Louisiana Spirit” information on program to assist officers dealing with stress related to either hurricane “Katrina” or “Rita”. Info presented by retired Lieutenant Dave Benelli.
LEGAL UPDATE by Attorney Frank DeSalvo:
Danziger indictments- Attorneys for accused officers are reviewing Grand Jury Testimony. Next court date has not been set.
